Toyota Unveils Innova EV Concept

Japanese automaker Toyota has unveiled the Innova EV Concept at the ongoing Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) in Jakarta. The company previewed the battery-powered MPV to the media personnel attending the event via a video. The Toyota Innova EV has a structure similar to that of the ICE-powered Innova Crysta.

According to AutoCar India, the Toyota Innova EV Concept features a sculpted hood, sleek headlights, a closed-off grille, and triangular fog lamps. A blue stripe steers parallel to its shoulder line and silver-colored six-spoke alloy wheels. Wrap-around taillamps with blue LED elements and a charging port grace the rear. Its interiors are identical to that of the Innova Crysta as well except for the blue accents in the cabin. It features a spacious cabin with automatic climate control, an air purifier, a multifunctional steering wheel, a digital instrument cluster, and a 9.0-inch touchscreen infotainment panel. Toyota is yet to disclose any details about the powertrain of the Innova EV Concept.

They are yet to make any statement regarding the Innova EV's availability. Assuming that it is a concept vehicle, it may not enter production but some of its features and technologies may debut in a future Toyota EV.
